My Story
As an investigative journalist, my purpose is to uncover and share the truth of the cryptic underworld. I was an editor and supernatural affairs correspondent for the King's College Post for five rewarding years, later working as the research assistant to Greg Walsh, founder of Mothman Times. My work with him later inspired my master's project on the witches of Nova Scotian suburbia.
Since graduating with a Master of Journalism degree, I spent most of my time studying the fringe of the fringe: be it the troll community of Los Angeles, the ghost cafes of Ohio, and the Jersey Devil cult of New Jersey, I've seen them all. When I'm not working on my craft, I spend my evenings as a volunteer at the Halifax Women's Shelter. My commitment to truth and justice are what make me a driven reporter, always on the hunt for the next big story.
My work with Feral Magazine is both a stroke of luck and an honour. Our collaboration comes from an interest in the growing resurgence of vampire metal artists from the seventies returning to the scene. I've spent sleepless nights putting out lines in hope of one bite and am pleased to announce that a very notable artist has reached out to me with the interest of participating in an in-depth interview with yours truly! Expect a deep dive into the cryptic, just like any of my other essays on the dark, the fascinating, and the poetic. It will be a story to die for.
